Biology is often referred to as the "science of life."     The term biology comes from the Greek words "bios" meaning life, and "-logia" the study of.    Biology,  one of the largest branches of science is quite simply put, the science and study of LIFE and LIVING ORGANISMS!     As budding biologists, this year you will study the structure, function, growth, origin, evolution and distribution of living organisms.    Topics covered this year will include  the following umbrella topics: Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology and Genetics,  just to name a few!
